Job Description:
Candidates must have
experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting AV, and VTC equipment
a minimum of 4 years. Knowledge of and experience in Audio Visual/
Videoconferencing Integration is a necessity.
Responsibilities will
include installation of integrated audio-visual/videoconferencing systems,
site maintenance and evaluation, as well as ability to recommend upgrades
and enhancements.
Sample Skill Set
Required:

Conferencing/Videoconferencing equipment.
Knowledge of Crestron, AMX and utilization of Extron, Gentner, Clearone,
Shuer, Autopatch, Tanberg, Polycom, Vtel, Zydacron, PictureTel in an
Installation and troubleshooting capacity.

Analyzes requirements for
IT and VTC/Multimedia support and recommend preferred solution that
optimizes engineering, management, and cost parameters.

Initiate, test, maintain
and troubleshoot new and established VTC links.

Maintain configurations and settings of equipment
that support the VTC network

Installs VTC systems on
customer site or manages/supervises installation team and provides
guidance and configuration information
-
Prepare engineering
designs for IT and VTC systems and networks.
-
Develop and implements
detailed installation plans for these projects.
-
Develops test plans and
test reports for use by the Governance process.
-
Prepares and presents
training information to technical staff and user personnel. Support and
diagnosis the resolution of IT and VTC/Multimedia problems for end
users.

Provide maintenance and
support for Polycom Accord MCU 100 bridge.
-
Responsible for
troubleshooting VTC networks and reconfiguration if needed.

Respond to Service
tickets for assistance, training or troubleshooting on VTC equipment.

Operate, administer, and
maintain the VTC bridge and are required to manipulate the bridge for
all VTC attached circuits to provide technical support.

flexible hours at customers location (US/Canada and NATO countries)

(a) Minimum required:

Bachelors degree in IT

7 + years experience in
LAN/WAN environment

TCP/IP, encryption,
communication, MS Windows XX, NT4.0, Office, 2000, Exchange, Norton
Utilities, NT networks with large number of users;

experience with a variety
of network topologies
-
experience with
IBM-compatible personal computers, terminal, peripheral equipment and
associated software repair, installation, configuration and system
operation and their supporting hardware to include tape drives, hard
drives, network interface cards, and other interface peripherals
-
experience with
telecommunications software, Windows NT servers, client/server
topologies, and a variety of file server hardware.

(b) US Citizenship
required. Secret clearance required Desired: At least 1 year of ADP
experience within the last 3 years, including Microsoft Certified
Systems Engineer,

This senior-level professional is a seasoned individual producer who
applies an advanced, in-depth knowledge of technical concepts,
practices and procedures. Incumbents are fully competent to work on
complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support
activities. The incumbent may act as a member of quick-response
user-support team and will often work under demanding deadlines,
operating independently to resolve complex end-user problems. Errors
will likely cause visible delay, expense and/or disruption to the
end-user. May act as a functional/team leader. Individuals must be
able to use mature judgment in assigning personnel without causing
unnecessary delay to client.
REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education and Typical
Years of Experience

knowledge and experience in a full range of technology platforms and
systems.
Special Requirements
Monitor network operations utilizing troubleshooting software and
assist the client with resolving any network connectivity issues or
escalate to the appropriate specialist. Analyze connectivity problems,
interpret testing results and determine if the client's
equipment/circuits, vendor connection lines or Company routers are the
cause and initiate measures for prompt rectification. Coordinate
network repairs and dispatch the appropriate vendor/specialist
depending on the error determination. Assist vendors/specialists with
network testing assignments and circuitry repairs designed to maximize
operating capacity. Communicate with clients concerning scheduled
maintenance and availability of the mainframe. Update and interface
with the Help Desk, as well as report weekly on problems or issues
related to client networks and serve as liaison between clients and
vendors/specialists. Bachelor's degree/technical certification in
Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of Network Operations
experience.
